Meela Child Care Centre believes that it has a responsibility to all the children attending the centre to defend their right to care and protection. To support this right Meela will adhere to the procedures set down in the Department of Community Development document “Child Protection in Children’s Services”, when dealing with any allegations of abuse or neglect of children. A copy of this document is available for you to view. Please ask the Director for assistance.
When Meela Child Care Centre suspects a case of child abuse the Director will document in writing the circumstances and report it to the local Department of Community Development agency.
Under law, licensed providers of childcare must report any suspected reports of abuse in a childcare service.
