The current daily fee is $110 per day. This fee is set annually by the Management Committee.
Fees will be debited from your nominated authorised bank account or credit card by our direct debit system. Please note a $50.00 Enrolment Levy per family is applicable each year. If Enrolment is successful and a position for care is offered, the amount of two weeks care period advance and the enrolment fee will be set for debit the Friday prior to commencement. Enrolment and requested days will be confirmed upon receipt of payment from our Ezidebit direct debit system. To cancel an enrolment or booked day, 4 weeks’ notice is required.
Child Care Benefit & Child Care Rebate
Meela Child Care Centre is approved for Child Care Benefit so parents can claim CCB to reduce their fees. Parents must provide Customer Reference Numbers and date of birth for parent/guardian and child to be able to claim CCB. The Child Care Rebate is also available to parents/guardians in which they can claim up to 50% of their out of pocket expenses through the Family Assistance Office.
All Australian residents are entitled to Child Care Benefit. You must apply for Child Care Benefit through the Department of Human Services. Child Care Benefit will reduce the cost of your fees.
Child Care Benefit can be claimed in two ways:
- You can register for Child Care Benefit with the Department of Human Services. They will then notify the centre of your entitlements and we will automatically reduce your fees each time you attend the centre. You then pay the remaining fee
- You can pay the full fee each time you attend the centre and then claim your Child Care Benefit at a later stage as a lump sum. For parents to claim Child Care Benefit, they must provide the centre with Customer Reference Numbers and date of birth for child and parent/guardian. Parent/guardians are responsible for registering and keeping their Child Care Benefit up to date. If you have any questions please speak to the Centre Director or to the Department of Human Services. Parents who arrive late to collect their child after closing time (6.00pm) will be charged a late fee of $2 per minute per child with a minimum fee of $5.00. If you are going to be late, please contact the Centre as soon as possible so staffing arrangements can be made. We recommend families aim to collect their children by 5:45pm to give enough time to collect your child’s belongings and talk to our educators about their day. Continuous late collection may result in your placement being reviewed by the Centre Director.
Cancellation of Bookings/Absent
All cancellation of attendance must be provided in writing and 4 weeks’ notice is required. If your child is absent, please contact Meela via phone or email and notify the Centre Director by 9.30am.
If your child is absent on the first or last day of booked care, full fees apply as no Child Care Benefit or Child Care Rebate are payable on these days.
