Management Committee

The Meela Management Committee is the Approved Provider as per the Education and Care Services National Law (WA) Act 2012. Meela is managed in accordance with Meela’s Rules of Association and the Associations Incorporations Act 2015 (WA). Parents/guardians are encouraged to participate in the operation of Meela by joining the Management Committee. The Management Committee is a group of elected parents/guardians and community members who meet monthly. Management Committee minutes are available for viewing by interested families. Families not wishing to join the Management Committee are welcome to share ideas and suggestions with the Centre Director.

Nomination forms are circulated prior to the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Nominations for membership to the Management Committee are put forward at the AGM. The AGM is usually held within the first three months of the calendar year.

The Committee comprises of:

  • The Chairperson

  • Vice Chairperson

  • Treasurer

  • Secretary

  • General Members (up to 5 members)


Parents/guardians are encouraged to become members of the Association (this is different to being a member of the Management Committee). Joining the Association is free and allows parents/guardians to vote at any General Meeting and the AGM.
